Product designer. UX researcher. End-to-end.
Creative collaboration, photography enthusiast and horror movie lover. With a Engineering Doctorate degree in Human-Computer Interaction.
I'm Renan Jordano, a Sr Product Designer at TOPdesk based in the Netherlands. I work at the intersection of product design and UX research — which means I spend a lot of time understanding problems before I start solving them.
At TOPdesk, I design for enterprise IT teams: service desk operators, administrators, and the end users who depend on them. It's a context where complexity is inherent, and where a confusing interface has a real cost — in wasted time, avoidable errors, and frustrated people. That keeps me honest.
My work covers the full design process, from research and synthesis to interaction design and delivery. I'm most energized by the early stages: defining problems, making sense of what users actually need, and figuring out where the real opportunity is before committing to a direction.
I'm also honest about uncertainty. Enterprise software is full of constraints, as legacy systems, diverse user bases, stakeholder complexity, and I've learned to design within those constraints without pretending they don't exist.
Background
2012-2016
I've concluded my bachelor in Visual Communication Design at Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing, which gave me a solid graphic expertise.
2016-2018
Afterwards, I've done my Masters in Design for Interaction at TU Delft, focusing on creative collaborartion and user research.
2019-2021
Later, during Engineering Doctorate degree at University of Twente, I've deepned my knowledge in the field and applied the research into practice for a research & development team.
